Anchor:- On April 27, 2025, a Turkish Air Force C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft arrived in Karachi, carrying combat equipment to support Pakistan amid rising regional tensions. Sources say it is part of a wider defense cooperation between the two countries.

In addition to the Karachi delivery, six Turkish C-130 aircraft reportedly landed at a military base in Islamabad, reinforcing Turkey's support to Pakistan as it has proven unable to cope with growing challenges on its borders alone. Both Turkish and Pakistani sources have confirmed the transfer of military cargo, although specific details of the shipment have not been disclosed, sources said.

Turkey has stood by Pakistan at a time when regional instability is growing, especially in relation to the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir. Turkey's military assistance complements similar assistance from China, which has reportedly provided drones to boost Pakistan's defensive capabilities.

This strategic cooperation underlines the growing defense ties between Turkey, Pakistan and China. Observers believe that these alliances are reshaping the geopolitical dynamics in South Asia, especially when military activities in the region are intensifying.

For Pakistan, which is currently mobilizing resources on its borders, these military deliveries are seen as a significant reinforcement amid growing threats.

Along with this, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has activated key air bases including Pensi, Skardu and Swat in response to rising regional tensions. Currently, F-16, J-10 and JF-17 fighter jets have been deployed at these bases, with combat air patrols (CAP) already underway. This activation is part of the PAF's strategy to strengthen defense capabilities and ensure quick response readiness. In particular, the Skardu airbase has been upgraded to act as a key hub for air defense operations, surveillance activities and combat preparedness.
